Passenger traffic up 25% at Dubai Airport

Passenger traffic at Dubai International airport increased 25 percent year-on-year in September, while freight volumes rose 11.3 percent, the latest figures from Dubai Airports show.
In the nine months to September 30, 2010, traffic through Dubai International rose 15.8 percent with
34,838,359 passengers passing through the airport.
In September, traffic reached 3.9m passengers across more than 130 airlines and 210 destinations, making Dubai International the sixth busiest airport in the world.
“We are seeing expansion across the board, not only from our usual top flight destinations such as India, the UK, Iran and Germany but we are also seeing significant increases in passenger traffic to and from the US, China and Australia," said Paul Griffiths, CEO, Dubai Airports.
